Day 1: Gangtok to Lachen – Journey Through the Himalayas

Continue your drive to Lachen, located at an altitude of approximately 2,750 meters, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and pristine landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy a refreshing welcome tea. Day 2: Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

Wake up early for one of the most exciting experiences of your North Sikkim adventure. After breakfast, drive towards the magnificent Gurudongmar Lake, one of the world's highest lakes, situated at an altitude of approximately 5,430 meters (17,800 feet).

En route, complete the necessary permit formalities before continuing through the breathtaking high-altitude landscapes of North Sikkim. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains and vast alpine terrain, Gurudongmar Lake is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Sikhs. Even during extreme winters, a small portion of the lake is believed to remain unfrozen, adding to its spiritual significance.

Spend time admiring the crystal-clear waters and capturing spectacular photographs before returning to Lachen for lunch.

After lunch, continue your scenic drive to Lachung, another charming Himalayan village known for its waterfalls, orchards, monasteries, and breathtaking mountain scenery. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

Day 3: Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok

After an early breakfast, proceed to the spectacular Yumthang Valley, located approximately 25 kilometers from Lachung. Popularly known as the "Valley of Flowers of Sikkim," Yumthang sits at an altitude of around 3,500 meters and is among the most beautiful destinations in North Sikkim.

Surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks, colorful rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, sparkling rivers, grazing yaks, and natural hot springs, the valley offers breathtaking scenery throughout the year. During spring, thousands of blooming rhododendrons transform the valley into a colorful paradise, while winter covers the landscape with pristine snow.

Spend quality time exploring the valley, enjoying photography, and soaking in the fresh mountain air before returning to the hotel.

Later, begin your return journey to Gangtok, passing through scenic mountain roads, rivers, waterfalls, and forests. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at the designated taxi stand, marking the end of your memorable North Sikkim adventure.
