Introduction
INTRODUCTION
Chopta is a small region of meadows and evergreen forest area which is a part of Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary located in Uttarakhand state, India and a base for trekking to Tungnath, third temple of Panch Kedar, which lies 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) away.
Auli is a popular skiing destination in India because of its glittering slopes and clean environment. Dotted with apple orchards, oaks and deodars, Auli is a popular hill town with numerous ski resorts situated amidst the Himalayan range. Located at 2800 meters above sea levels, it is home to mountain ranges of Nanda Devi, Mana Parvat and Kamat Kamet.
Chopta
Chopta, often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India," is a picturesque hill station located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It is part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and is known for its lush green meadows, dense forests, and majestic views of the Himalayan peaks. ITINERARY-:
DAY 01: HARIDWAR – RISHIKESH (30 KMS/ 1 HR)
Morning arrive at Haridwar Railway Station & meet our TRAVEL MURTI executive and drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check-into hotel after refreshment visit Rishikesh. Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides.
It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of "Hrishikesh" and this area hence forth came to be known as Rishikesh.
Temples & Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Ashram, Parmarth Ashram, later back to hotel & overnight stay.
DAY 02: RISHIKESH - CHOPTA (165 KMS/ 5-6 HR)
Morning after breakfast drive to Chopta. On arrival check in hotel. You can also take small walks around the property. Enjoy the evening with tea and snacks and overnight stay with dinner at hotel.
DAY 03: CHOPTA – TUNGNATH – CHANDRASHILA TREK (05 KMS TREK)
Morning after breakfast drive to Tungnath trek point. Trek starts here. We’ll start the 5 kms walk to Tungnath Temple and then Chandrashila. On arrival here you can see 360 degree Himalayan views. Later trek back to Chopta before sunset. On arrival dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 04: CHOPTA – JOSHIMATH (155 KMS/ 4-5 HR)
Morning after breakfast drive to Joshimath. On arrival check-into hotel. Joshimath is situated on the slopes above the confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga.
Of the four 'Maths' established by Adi Shankaracharya, Joshimath is one. There are many temples in the township, most important is the temple of Nir Singh in commotion of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of this deity is with time and the popular belief holds that the day the arm completely withers, Badrinath valley will cease to exist and the Gods will transfer their residence into the neighboring Niti Valley at Bhavishya Badri.
DAY 05: JOSHIMATH – AULI - JOSHIMATH
Today, you will begin to explore the city of Auli. First, you will be taken to Auli Lake which is one of the world's highest human-made lakes. It is located at a unique location and is one of its kind when it comes to aesthetic beauty.
You will next visit the Auli Ropeway. Get ready to witness the flagship tourist attraction of Auli. Auli is a famous skiing spot which attracts tourists from all over the world. The ropeway has cable cars which allow you to have a panoramic view of the Himalayan landscape and the forest cover surrounding it.
Later back to Joshimath & overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 06: JOSHIMATH - RISHIKESH – HARIDWAR (270 KMS/ 6-7 HR)
Morning after breakfast drive back to Haridwar. On the way arrive Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides.
