Introduction

Introduction

Embark on a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage with TravelMurti’s Kedarnath Tour Package – 3 Nights / 4 Days, covering Haridwar, Guptkashi, Kedarnath Dham, and Rishikesh. Designed for devotees seeking a short and well-planned Kedarnath Yatra, this journey combines spiritual experiences with the spectacular landscapes of Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayas.

Kedarnath Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and one of the four sacred shrines of Uttarakhand’s Chota Char Dham Yatra. Located at an altitude of approximately 3,583 metres amid the Himalayan mountains, Kedarnath attracts pilgrims seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva during its annual pilgrimage season.

The journey begins from Haridwar and proceeds towards Guptkashi, an important pilgrimage town on the route to Kedarnath. From the road-accessible pilgrimage route, devotees continue towards Kedarnath Dham according to the transportation arrangements included in their package. The journey offers beautiful views of mountain valleys, rivers, forests, and the dramatic Himalayan landscape.

Kedarnath Temple

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kedarnath Temple is among the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites in India. It is traditionally associated with the Pandavas and forms an important part of both the 12 Jyotirlinga pilgrimage and the Chota Char Dham Yatra.

Surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks and located near the Mandakini River, the temple offers a remarkable combination of spirituality and natural beauty. During winter, when Kedarnath Temple remains closed because of severe weather conditions, the worship associated with Kedarnath continues at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath according to local religious tradition.

Kedarnath Trek and Himalayan Experience

For pilgrims travelling by the traditional route, the journey to Kedarnath includes a mountain trek from the Gaurikund area to Kedarnath. The route passes through spectacular Himalayan terrain and offers views of the Mandakini Valley and surrounding mountains.

Pilgrims should be prepared for changing weather, high altitude, and demanding mountain conditions. Depending on availability and the selected package, alternative services such as helicopter travel, pony, palki, or other locally operated facilities may also be available at additional cost or as specifically mentioned in the booking.
