Day 1: Madurai – Rameshwaram

Upon arrival at Madurai Airport or Railway Station, meet our representative and proceed towards Rameshwaram, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in Tamil Nadu.

On arrival, check in at the hotel and freshen up. Later, proceed for Rameshwaram sightseeing and temple visits.

Ramanathaswamy Temple:

Visit the sacred Ramanathaswamy Temple, traditionally counted among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple is deeply associated with the Ramayana and is renowned for its magnificent corridors, sculpted pillars, and sacred theerthams.

Agni Theertham:

Visit the sacred seashore located near Ramanathaswamy Temple, where devotees traditionally perform religious rituals and take a holy dip.

Gandhamadhana Parvatham:

Visit this important pilgrimage site associated with Lord Rama. The elevated location also offers views of the surrounding Rameshwaram landscape.

Dhanushkodi:

Proceed to the historic coastal destination of Dhanushkodi, located near the southeastern end of Pamban Island. The destination is known for its coastal scenery, ruins, and religious associations with the Ramayana tradition.

After completing the sightseeing, return to the hotel.

Overnight stay in Rameshwaram.

Day 2: Rameshwaram – Madurai Departure

Early morning, devotees may proceed for Ramanathaswamy Temple darshan and religious rituals according to temple timings and personal preference.

Those wishing to participate in the traditional pilgrimage rituals may visit Agni Theertham and the sacred theerthams within the Ramanathaswamy Temple complex, subject to temple procedures and regulations.

Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, check out and begin the journey towards Madurai.

Depending on the departure schedule and available time, visit selected attractions in Madurai.

Meenakshi Amman Temple:

Visit one of South India’s most celebrated temple complexes, dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar.

Gandhi Memorial Museum:

If time permits, visit the museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and India’s freedom movement.

Later, transfer to Madurai Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
