Char Dham Package from Delhi – 11 Nights / 12 Days

Day 01: Delhi – Haridwar (Approx. 230 km / 6–7 Hours)

Your Char Dham Yatra from Delhi begins with arrival at Delhi Airport or Railway Station, where you will meet the TravelMurti representative. Proceed by road towards Haridwar, one of Uttarakhand’s most important pilgrimage cities and a major gateway to the Char Dham Yatra.

On arrival, check in at the hotel and refresh. Later, visit Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple as scheduled in the itinerary. In the evening, proceed to Har Ki Pauri to experience the sacred Ganga Aarti on the banks of the River Ganga.

After the Aarti, return to the hotel.

About Haridwar

Haridwar is one of India’s most revered pilgrimage cities, situated where the River Ganga enters the plains after flowing through the Himalayan foothills. Temples, ghats and the spiritual atmosphere around Har Ki Pauri make Haridwar an important starting point for pilgrims travelling towards the Char Dham shrines.

Day 02: Haridwar – Barkot (Approx. 220 km / 7 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie.

En route, visit Kempty Falls and enjoy the scenic mountain surroundings before continuing towards Barkot, an important overnight base for the Yamunotri pilgrimage.

On arrival in Barkot, check in at the hotel and relax before the next day’s trek.

Day 03: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

Approx. 36 km Drive + 6 km Trek Each Way

After an early breakfast, drive towards Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti. From Janki Chatti, begin the approximately 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple.

The trek can be completed on foot, while pony or doli services may be available locally at the traveller’s own expense.

On reaching Yamunotri, visit the sacred sites around the temple. Pilgrims traditionally visit Surya Kund and offer prayers at Divya Shila before proceeding for darshan at Yamunotri Temple.

After completing darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot.

About Yamunotri

Yamunotri is traditionally the first Dham visited during the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and is situated amid the mountainous landscape of Uttarkashi district.

Yamunotri Temple: The principal shrine dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.

Surya Kund: A natural thermal spring near the temple traditionally associated with preparing prasad.

Divya Shila: A sacred stone worshipped by devotees before Yamunotri Temple darshan.

Day 04: Barkot – Uttarkashi (Approx. 100 km / 4 Hours)

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Uttarkashi, a pilgrimage town situated along the Bhagirathi River.

On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, an important Shiva temple in Uttarkashi.

Spend the remaining time relaxing and preparing for the Gangotri pilgrimage.

Day 05: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Approx. 100 km / 3 Hours Each Way

After breakfast, begin the journey from Uttarkashi towards Gangotri Dham, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,048 metres.

The route offers views of the Bhagirathi River, Harsil Valley and surrounding Himalayan landscape. On reaching Gangotri, visit Gangotri Temple and seek the blessings of Goddess Ganga.

After darshan, drive back to Uttarkashi.

About Gangotri

Gangotri is traditionally the second Dham of the pilgrimage and one of the most revered destinations associated with Goddess Ganga.

The temple is situated near the Bhagirathi River, while the Himalayan journey through the Harsil region adds scenic beauty to the spiritual experience.

Day 06: Uttarkashi – Guptakashi (Approx. 235 km / 9 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the long mountain journey towards Guptakashi.

As provided in the itinerary, visit Devprayag Sangam, the sacred confluence where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet and the river downstream is known as the Ganga.

After the visit, continue towards Guptakashi. On arrival, check in at the hotel and rest before the Kedarnath pilgrimage.

About Devprayag

Devprayag is one of the Panch Prayag of Uttarakhand and an important Hindu pilgrimage destination. It is renowned for the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers.

Day 07: Guptakashi – Kedarnath

Begin early and proceed towards Sonprayag via the Phata/Sirsi region as mentioned in the itinerary.

Continue according to the prevailing local transport arrangements before beginning the high-altitude journey towards Kedarnath Dham. Pilgrims may complete the trekking route on foot or use locally available pony or doli services at their own expense.

On reaching Kedarnath, check in at the tent or hotel accommodation according to the confirmed package. Later, visit Kedarnath Temple for darshan.

About Kedarnath

Kedarnath Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the four sacred shrines of the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra.

Situated at approximately 3,583 metres above sea level, Kedarnath is surrounded by the dramatic mountain landscape of the Garhwal Himalayas.

Day 08: Kedarnath – Guptakashi

Begin the morning with Aarti and darshan at Kedarnath Temple, subject to temple timings.

After darshan, start the return trek. On reaching the designated road-access point, proceed towards Guptakashi according to the prevailing local transport arrangements.

Check in at the hotel and rest after the Kedarnath pilgrimage.

Day 09: Guptakashi – Badrinath (Approx. 215 km / 9 Hours)

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Badrinath Dham via Joshimath.

Enjoy the changing Himalayan landscapes during the journey. On arrival in Badrinath, check in at the hotel.

In the evening, visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti and darshan, subject to temple timings.

Badrinath is traditionally the final Dham of the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra. Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Badrinarayan and is situated near the Alaknanda River in Chamoli district.

Tapt Kund: A natural thermal spring near Badrinath Temple traditionally visited by pilgrims.

Narad Kund: A sacred pool associated with the religious traditions of Badrinath.

Brahma Kapal: A sacred site where pilgrims traditionally perform rituals for their ancestors.

Sheshnetra: A religious site associated with Sheshnag.

Charan Paduka: A sacred site associated with the footprints of Lord Vishnu and reached by trekking.

Mana Village: A Himalayan village near Badrinath known for its scenic surroundings and mythological associations.

Bhim Pul: A natural stone formation over the Saraswati River associated with the legend of Bhima.

Vyas Gufa: A sacred cave traditionally associated with Maharishi Ved Vyasa.

Vasudhara Falls: A scenic waterfall beyond Mana Village that requires additional trekking and is subject to available time, weather and route conditions.

Day 10: Badrinath – Joshimath – Pipalkoti (Approx. 75 km / 3 Hours)

Begin the morning with a visit to Tapt Kund and Badrinath Temple for darshan according to temple timings and local customs.

Later, explore the attractions included in the itinerary around Mana Village, such as Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul/Bhimkund area and the Saraswati River. Visit Charan Paduka only if time, accessibility and trekking conditions permit.

After sightseeing, drive towards Joshimath. Visit the temples mentioned in the scheduled itinerary before continuing towards Pipalkoti.

On arrival in Pipalkoti, check in at the hotel.

About Joshimath

Also known as Jyotirmath, Joshimath is an important religious town in Chamoli district and is associated with Adi Shankaracharya. It also serves as an important gateway for Badrinath and other destinations in the region.

Day 11: Pipalkoti – Rishikesh (Approx. 220 km / 6 Hours)

After breakfast, check out and begin the journey towards Rishikesh.

On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, visit the spiritual attractions included in the itinerary, such as Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula area, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir and Parmarth Niketan, subject to available time and local access.

Spend the evening experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of Rishikesh before returning to the hotel.
