Char Dham Package from Haridwar – 8 Nights / 9 Days Itinerary

Day 01: Haridwar – Barkot (Approx. 220 km / 7 Hours)

Your Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar begins with arrival at Haridwar Railway Station, where you will meet the TravelMurti representative and proceed towards Barkot.

Drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie, enjoying the scenic mountain roads and landscapes of Uttarakhand. En route, visit Kempty Falls, one of the popular attractions near Mussoorie.

Continue the journey to Barkot and check in at the hotel on arrival. Relax and prepare for the Yamunotri pilgrimage scheduled for the following day.

Day 02: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (Approx. 36 km Drive + 6 km Trek Each Way)

After breakfast, drive towards Janki Chatti, an important starting point for the trek to Yamunotri Dham. Begin the approximately 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple. Pilgrims may complete the journey on foot or use locally available pony or doli services at their own expense.

On reaching Yamunotri, visit Surya Kund, the natural thermal spring where devotees traditionally prepare offerings as prasad. Offer prayers at Divya Shila before proceeding for darshan at Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.

After completing darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot.

Places to Visit in Yamunotri

Hanuman Chatti: An important pilgrimage point near the confluence of the Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna rivers.

Yamunotri Temple: The sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and traditionally the first Dham visited during the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra.

Surya Kund: A natural hot-water spring near Yamunotri Temple where pilgrims traditionally prepare religious offerings.

Divya Shila: A sacred stone worshipped by devotees before darshan at Yamunotri Temple.

Day 03: Barkot – Uttarkashi (Approx. 100 km / 4 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi, an important pilgrimage town situated along the Bhagirathi River.

On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a revered temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the important religious attractions of Uttarkashi.

Spend the remaining time relaxing and preparing for the Gangotri Dham journey.

Uttarkashi: Located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, Uttarkashi is known for its temples, ghats, Himalayan surroundings, and importance as a gateway to Gangotri.

Day 04: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (Approx. 100 km Each Way)

After breakfast, begin the journey from Uttarkashi to Gangotri Dham, the second sacred shrine on the traditional Char Dham route.

Travel through the beautiful Himalayan landscape and enjoy views of the Bhagirathi River and Harsil Valley along the route. On reaching Gangotri, visit Gangotri Temple and seek the blessings of Goddess Ganga.

After darshan and prayers, drive back to Uttarkashi.

Gangotri Temple: A revered temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga, situated near the banks of the Bhagirathi River.

Submerged Shivling: A natural rock formation associated with the legend of Lord Shiva receiving Goddess Ganga. Its visibility depends on the river's water level.

Kedar Ganga Sangam: A sacred confluence where the Kedar Ganga meets the Bhagirathi River near Gangotri.

Day 05: Uttarkashi – Guptakashi (Approx. 235 km / 9 Hours)

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Guptakashi, an important stop on the route to Kedarnath.

Travel through the mountain roads, river valleys, and scenic landscapes of Uttarakhand. The journey is relatively long, so arrival time may vary depending on road and traffic conditions.

On reaching Guptakashi, check in at the hotel and rest before the Kedarnath pilgrimage.

Day 06: Guptakashi – Kedarnath – Guptakashi

Begin early in the morning and proceed towards the designated access point for the Kedarnath Yatra, subject to current traffic and local authority arrangements.

Continue towards the Kedarnath trekking route and begin the high-altitude journey to Kedarnath Temple. Pilgrims can travel on foot or use pony or doli services at their own expense, subject to availability and local regulations.

On reaching Kedarnath, visit the sacred temple and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. After darshan, begin the return journey and proceed back to Guptakashi.

Important Places on the Kedarnath Yatra

Gaurikund: A sacred pilgrimage destination associated with Goddess Parvati and traditionally connected with the Kedarnath trekking route.

Kedarnath Temple: One of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the four sacred shrines of the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra. The temple is situated amid the spectacular Himalayan landscape of Rudraprayag district.

Day 07: Guptakashi – Badrinath (Approx. 215 km / 9 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Badrinath Dham through the scenic Himalayan region.

On arrival in Badrinath, check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Badrinarayan, and attend the evening Aarti subject to temple timings.

Badrinath Temple: One of the most revered Vishnu temples in India and the final Dham on the traditional Uttarakhand Char Dham route.

Tapt Kund: A natural thermal spring situated near Badrinath Temple and traditionally visited by pilgrims before darshan.

Narad Kund: A sacred pool near Tapt Kund associated with the religious traditions of Badrinath.

Brahma Kapal: A sacred site near the Alaknanda River where pilgrims traditionally perform rituals in memory of their ancestors.

Sheshnetra: A religious site featuring a rock formation traditionally associated with Sheshnag.

Charan Paduka: A sacred rock associated with the footprints of Lord Vishnu, reached by a trek from the Badrinath area.

Mata Murti Temple: A temple associated with Mata Murti and the religious traditions surrounding Lord Nar-Narayan.

Vasudhara Falls: A scenic waterfall beyond Mana Village that can be reached by trekking, subject to weather and local route conditions.

Bhim Pul: A natural stone formation over the Saraswati River in Mana Village associated with the legend of Bhima from the Mahabharata.

Day 08: Badrinath – Joshimath – Pipalkoti (Approx. 75 km / 2–3 Hours)

Begin the day with an early morning visit to Badrinath Temple for darshan. Pilgrims may also visit Tapt Kund according to local customs and prevailing conditions.

After darshan, explore Mana Village and nearby attractions, subject to available time, weather, and road conditions.

Later, check out and begin the journey towards Pipalkoti via Joshimath. Enjoy the Himalayan landscapes along the route before reaching Pipalkoti.

On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

Joshimath: Also known as Jyotirmath, this important Himalayan pilgrimage town is associated with Adi Shankaracharya and serves as an important religious centre in the Badrinath region.

Day 09: Pipalkoti – Rishikesh – Haridwar (Approx. 236 km / 6–7 Hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the return journey towards Haridwar. The route passes through important towns and Himalayan river valleys, including Rudraprayag and Srinagar.

Continue towards Rishikesh, one of Uttarakhand's best-known spiritual destinations. Depending on available time and traffic conditions, visit prominent attractions such as Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Parmarth Niketan.

After sightseeing in Rishikesh, continue the drive to Haridwar. On arrival, transfer to Haridwar Railway Station or the designated drop-off point as included in the package.
