Frequently Asked Questions

Q1.How do I prepare for the mountain weather?

A: Even in the summer, the mountains can be freezing cold! You should pack a heavy jacket, gloves, and a woolen cap. It also rains sometimes, so a small raincoat is a smart thing to bring.

Q2.What if I can't walk the long treks?

A: Don't worry! For the treks to Yamunotri and Kedarnath, there are many options like Palkis (Dolis), Ponies, and Helicopters. We can help you arrange these so you can reach the temples comfortably.

Q3.Is there a lot of traffic on the roads?

A: Since many people visit during the peak season (May and June), the roads can get busy. That’s why we start our days early to make sure we reach our destinations on time.

Q4.What documents should I carry?

A: You should always have a physical copy of your Aadhaar Card and your Yatra Registration paper. It’s also good to have some cash, as ATM machines in the high mountains don't always work.

Q5.When do the temples open and close?

A: The temples usually open in late April or early May (on Akshaya Tritiya) and close in November after Diwali. The best time to visit is May-June or September-October.
