Chardham Yatra from Haridwar – 9 Nights / 10 Days Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar – Barkot

Your Chardham Yatra from Haridwar begins with pickup from Haridwar. Meet our TravelMurti representative and start your scenic journey towards Barkot, an important base for the Yamunotri pilgrimage.

Travel through the beautiful mountain roads of Uttarakhand and pass through Mussoorie. En route, visit Kempty Falls, where you can spend some time enjoying the surroundings before continuing towards Barkot.

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax after the journey.

Day 2: Barkot – Janki Chatti – Yamunotri – Barkot

After breakfast, proceed towards Janki Chatti, the starting point for the trek to Yamunotri Temple.

From Janki Chatti, begin the approximately 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham. Pilgrims can complete the journey on foot or hire a pony or palki at their own expense, depending on their preference.

Upon reaching Yamunotri, visit the sacred Yamunotri Temple and seek the blessings of Goddess Yamuna. Also visit Surya Kund, the natural hot-water spring near the temple where devotees traditionally prepare rice or potatoes as prasad.

After darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and proceed to Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot – Uttarkashi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Uttarkashi, a sacred Himalayan town situated along the banks of the Bhagirathi River.

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.

Later, visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, an important shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple complex is also known for the large trident associated with the nearby Shakti Temple.

After darshan, return to the hotel and spend the remaining time at leisure.

Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

After breakfast, begin your journey towards Gangotri Dham, one of the four sacred shrines of the Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra.

Enjoy the scenic drive through the Himalayan region before reaching Gangotri Temple, the sacred shrine dedicated to Goddess Ganga.

Seek the blessings of Goddess Ganga and spend some peaceful time in the spiritual surroundings of the temple and the holy Bhagirathi River.

After completing darshan, drive back to Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the journey towards Guptkashi, an important pilgrimage town on the route to Kedarnath.

Travel through the beautiful mountain landscapes of Uttarakhand before reaching Guptkashi.

Depending on the available time, visit the Ardhanarishwar Temple, dedicated to the combined form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Check in to the hotel and rest in preparation for the Kedarnath pilgrimage the following day.

Day 6: Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath

Today, begin one of the most important parts of the Chardham Yatra — the journey to Kedarnath Dham.

Proceed towards Gaurikund, the base point for the trek to Kedarnath. From here, begin the approximately 16 km trek through the Himalayan landscape towards Kedarnath Temple.

Pilgrims who prefer an alternative to trekking may explore helicopter services, subject to availability, weather conditions, operational schedules, and separate booking arrangements.

Upon reaching Kedarnath, visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Seek the blessings of Baba Kedarnath and experience the spiritual atmosphere of this revered Himalayan shrine.

Day 7: Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Guptkashi

Begin your morning in the sacred surroundings of Kedarnath. Depending on temple timings and the travel schedule, attend the morning prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva once again.

After darshan, begin the trek back towards Gaurikund.

Upon reaching the base, continue by road towards Guptkashi. Check in to the hotel and relax after completing the Kedarnath pilgrimage.

Day 8: Guptkashi – Joshimath – Badrinath

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Badrinath Dham, traveling through the beautiful Himalayan region and via Joshimath.

Upon reaching Badrinath, visit the sacred Tapt Kund, a natural hot-water spring situated near Badrinath Temple and traditionally visited by pilgrims before darshan.

Proceed to Badrinath Temple and seek the blessings of Lord Badri Narayan. Surrounded by the magnificent Himalayan landscape, Badrinath is the final Dham of the traditional Uttarakhand Chardham circuit.

After darshan, return to your accommodation and relax.

Day 9: Badrinath – Mana Village – Rudraprayag

After breakfast, visit Mana Village, located near Badrinath and close to the India-Tibet border.

Explore the village and experience its religious and cultural significance. Visit the Saraswati River area and other nearby attractions according to the available time and tour schedule.

After sightseeing, begin your journey towards Rudraprayag.

Rudraprayag is a sacred town situated at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.

Day 10: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your return journey towards Haridwar.

En route, stop at Rishikesh, one of Uttarakhand's most important spiritual destinations. Depending on the available time, explore popular attractions and experience the peaceful atmosphere along the holy River Ganga.

Continue your journey towards Haridwar. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at Haridwar Railway Station or the designated departure point for your onward journey.
