Detailed Itinerary – Do Dham Yatra with Chopta & Auli Tour Package

Day 01: Haridwar – Chopta (190 Kms / 6–7 Hrs)

Your Do Dham Yatra with Chopta & Auli Tour Package – 7 Nights / 8 Days begins with arrival at Haridwar Railway Station. Meet the TravelMurti representative and start your drive towards Chopta through the beautiful mountain landscapes of Uttarakhand.

On arrival at Chopta, check into the hotel and relax. You can take a short walk around the property and enjoy the peaceful Himalayan surroundings.

Spend the evening with tea and snacks, followed by dinner.

Dinner and overnight stay at Chopta.

Day 02: Chopta – Tungnath – Chandrashila Trek – Guptkashi (5 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, proceed to the starting point of the Tungnath and Chandrashila trek.

Begin the approximately 5 km trek towards Tungnath Temple and continue towards Chandrashila. Surrounded by the Himalayan landscape, the route offers spectacular mountain scenery along the way.

Visit Tungnath Temple, an important Shiva shrine and part of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage. Continue towards Chandrashila and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.

Later, trek back towards Chopta before sunset and drive to Guptkashi.

On arrival, check into the hotel and relax.

Dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Day 03: Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath (18 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, drive towards Sonprayag for the next stage of your Kedarnath Yatra. From the trekking point, begin the journey towards Kedarnath on foot or by pony or doli.

Travelers should carry personal medicines, warm woollen clothes, toiletries, and other essential items required for the trek and overnight halt at Kedarnath.

On arrival at Kedarnath, check into the available tent/camp accommodation. Later, visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Gaurikund

Gaurikund is an important point along the Kedarnath pilgrimage route and is associated with Goddess Parvati. According to Hindu tradition, Goddess Parvati performed penance here to attain Lord Shiva.

Kedarnath

Situated at approximately 3,584 metres, Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in Uttarakhand.

According to Hindu mythology, after the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva for redemption. Lord Shiva took the form of a bull and disappeared into the earth at Kedarnath, leaving his hump visible. Other manifestations of Lord Shiva are worshipped at Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhmaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar. Together with Kedarnath, these sacred shrines form the Panch Kedar.

Day 04: Kedarnath – Guptkashi (18 Kms Trek)

Begin the morning in the sacred surroundings of Kedarnath. Attend Aarti and seek Darshan at Kedarnath Temple.

After Darshan, begin the return trek from Kedarnath. Continue towards Guptkashi and check into the hotel on arrival.

The evening is available for rest after completing the Kedarnath pilgrimage.

Day 05: Guptkashi – Badrinath (170 Kms / 5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive from Guptkashi towards Badrinath via Joshimath. Enjoy the mountain landscapes and valleys along the journey.

On arrival at Badrinath, check into the hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan and Aarti.

Badrinath

Badrinath is one of the sacred Char Dham pilgrimage destinations and an important shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Surrounded by the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges with the Neelkanth Peak forming a dramatic backdrop, Badrinath combines immense religious significance with Himalayan beauty.

Tapt Kund

Natural thermal springs situated near the Badrinath Temple, where pilgrims traditionally take a holy bath before Darshan.

Narad Kund

A sacred pool near Tapt Kund associated with the Badrinath shrine.

Brahma Kapal

A sacred place along the Alaknanda River where rituals for departed ancestors are traditionally performed.

Sheshnetra

Charanpaduka

Mata Murti Temple

Day 06: Badrinath – Joshimath (76 Kms / 2 Hrs)

Early in the morning, visit Tapt Kund and proceed for Badrinath Temple Darshan.

After Darshan, explore the nearby attractions mentioned in the itinerary, including Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Mata Murti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the Saraswati River area.

Later, drive towards Joshimath. On arrival, check into the hotel and relax.

Joshimath

Joshimath is an important spiritual town in Uttarakhand and one of the four Maths associated with Adi Shankaracharya. It also serves as an important gateway to Badrinath and Auli. The town is known for the Narsingh Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Day 07: Joshimath – Auli – Pipalkoti

After breakfast, proceed towards Auli, one of Uttarakhand’s most popular mountain destinations.

Visit Auli Lake, a high-altitude artificial lake surrounded by beautiful Himalayan scenery.

Later, visit the Auli Ropeway, a major attraction offering panoramic views of the mountains and surrounding forest landscapes. Auli is also widely known as a skiing destination and attracts nature lovers and adventure travelers.

Day 08: Pipalkoti – Rishikesh – Haridwar (220 Kms / Approx. 8 Hrs)

After breakfast, begin the return journey towards Haridwar.
