Detailed Itinerary – Panch Kedar Darshan Tour from Haridwar

Day 01: Haridwar to Guptkashi (204 Kms / 6–7 Hrs)

Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station, where our TravelMurti representative will welcome you. Begin your Panch Kedar Yatra from Haridwar with a scenic drive towards Guptkashi through the beautiful mountain roads and river valleys of Uttarakhand.

On arrival at Guptkashi, check in at the hotel and relax after the journey.

Overnight Stay: Guptkashi

Day 02: Guptkashi to Kedarnath (33 Kms by Road / 18 Kms Trek)

Early morning after breakfast, proceed towards Gaurikund for the journey to Kedarnath. Begin the trek to Kedarnath on foot or opt for pony services at your own expense.

Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and one of the five sacred Panch Kedar temples. Situated amid the majestic Garhwal Himalayas, the shrine is one of the most important destinations of the Panch Kedar Yatra.

On arrival, check in at the camp/tent accommodation.

Overnight Stay: Kedarnath

Day 03: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (18 Kms Trek / 33 Kms by Road)

Early morning, visit Kedarnath Temple for darshan and rituals. Seek the blessings of Lord Shiva before beginning the return trek towards Gaurikund.

On reaching Gaurikund, continue by road towards Guptkashi. Check in at the hotel and rest after the trek.

Overnight Stay: Guptkashi

Day 04: Guptkashi to Gaundhar (50 Kms by Road / 2 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, continue the Panch Kedar journey towards Gaundhar. The route takes you into the peaceful Himalayan region surrounded by mountain landscapes and traditional settlements.

Complete the 2 km trek and reach Gaundhar Village. On arrival, check in at a local guesthouse or homestay. Enjoy traditional local cuisine for dinner.

Day 05: Gaundhar to Madhyamaheshwar (10 Kms Trek)

Morning after breakfast, begin the trek towards Madhyamaheshwar, one of the five sacred Panch Kedar temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pony services may be available at your own expense.

The journey offers beautiful Himalayan landscapes and views towards the Chaukhamba peaks. Madhyamaheshwar holds immense religious importance in the Panch Kedar pilgrimage and is traditionally associated with Lord Shiva.

On arrival, experience the peaceful spiritual surroundings of Madhyamaheshwar.

Day 06: Madhyamaheshwar to Gaundhar (10 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, begin your return trek from Madhyamaheshwar towards Gaundhar. Enjoy the mountain trails, green landscapes, and peaceful Himalayan surroundings along the route.

On arrival at Gaundhar, check in and relax.

Day 07: Gaundhar to Chopta (55 Kms by Road / 2 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, continue towards Chopta. Complete the required trek and road journey before reaching this scenic Himalayan destination.

Chopta is popularly known as the “Mini Switzerland of India” and is surrounded by dense forests and panoramic Himalayan landscapes. It also serves as the base for the trek to Tungnath Temple.

Day 08: Chopta – Tungnath – Chopta (5 Kms Trek)

Early morning, begin the trek towards Tungnath Temple, one of the five Panch Kedar shrines and an important Lord Shiva pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand. Pony services may be available at your own expense.

After reaching Tungnath, seek blessings at the temple and spend some time enjoying the surrounding Himalayan views. Later, trek back to Chopta.

Day 09: Chopta to Sagar Village via Gopeshwar (45 Kms / 2 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Sagar Village via Gopeshwar. En route, visit the ancient Gopinath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Continue through scenic valleys and traditional Himalayan settlements towards Sagar Village, which serves as the starting point for the upcoming Rudranath trekking route.

On arrival, check in and relax.

Day 10: Sagar Village to Panar Bugyal (12 Kms Trek)

Early morning after breakfast, begin the trek from Sagar Village towards Panar Bugyal. Carry the necessary trekking essentials for the journey.

The trail passes through forests, mountain terrain, and alpine meadows while offering beautiful views of the surrounding Himalayas. Reach Panar Bugyal and settle in for the night.

Day 11: Panar Bugyal to Rudranath (8 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, continue the trek towards Rudranath Temple, another sacred shrine of the Panch Kedar Yatra.

According to Hindu tradition, Rudranath is associated with the face of Lord Shiva. Surrounded by forests and remote Himalayan landscapes, the shrine offers a peaceful setting for devotees undertaking the Panch Kedar pilgrimage.

After reaching Rudranath, visit the temple and experience its spiritual surroundings.

Day 12: Rudranath to Sagar Village (20 Kms Trek)

Morning after breakfast, begin the return trek from Rudranath towards Sagar Village. The 20 km journey takes you back through the scenic mountain trails and Himalayan landscapes covered during the outward trek.

On reaching Sagar Village, check in and rest after the long trekking day.

Day 13: Sagar Village to Helang – Kalpeshwar – Helang (60 Kms Drive / 2 Kms Trek)

Early morning after breakfast, drive towards Helang and continue towards the Kalpeshwar route. From Urgam Village, begin the short trek to Kalpeshwar Temple.

Kalpeshwar is one of the five Panch Kedar temples and is traditionally associated with the jata (hair) of Lord Shiva. After darshan at Kalpeshwar Temple, trek back and continue towards Helang.

Overnight Stay: Helang

Day 14: Helang to Srinagar Garhwal (140 Kms / 5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Srinagar Garhwal. En route, visit Karanprayag Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Pindar rivers.

Continue towards Rudraprayag Sangam and visit Dhari Devi Temple along the journey. After completing the day's sightseeing, proceed towards Srinagar Garhwal.

On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Day 15: Srinagar Garhwal to Haridwar (130 Kms / 3 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast, check out and begin the final road journey towards Haridwar. Enjoy the Himalayan valleys and river landscapes along the way as your 14 Nights / 15 Days Panch Kedar Yatra approaches its conclusion.

On arrival at Haridwar, transfer to Haridwar Railway Station for your onward journey with memories of the sacred Panch Kedar pilgrimage.
