ITINERARY

Day 01: Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry

Upon arrival at Chennai Airport or Railway Station, meet our representative and proceed towards Pondicherry. En route, stop at Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram) for sightseeing.

Visit the iconic Shore Temple, a historic Pallava-era monument overlooking the Bay of Bengal and part of the UNESCO-listed Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram.

Spend some time along the Mahabalipuram Beach and continue to Arjuna’s Penance, an impressive open-air rock relief known for its intricate carvings.

Explore the Pancha Rathas (Five Rathas), a remarkable group of monolithic rock-cut monuments, followed by Krishna’s Butter Ball, the famous naturally balanced boulder.

After completing the sightseeing, continue the journey to Pondicherry. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

Day 02: Pondicherry Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a full day of Pondicherry sightseeing.

Continue to Auroville, the international township known for its vision of human unity. Visit the Matrimandir Viewpoint, subject to access rules, timings, and availability.

Later, visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, one of Pondicherry’s most important spiritual centers.

Proceed to Chunnambar Boat House, a popular recreational spot along the backwaters. Depending on weather and operations, travelers may take a boat ride to Paradise Beach at additional cost.

In the evening, explore Promenade Beach and enjoy the seaside atmosphere of Pondicherry.

Day 03: Pondicherry – Rameswaram

As you approach Rameswaram, enjoy views of the Pamban Road Bridge (Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge) and the railway sea bridge connecting Pamban Island with mainland India.

Continue to Rameswaram and, upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

Spend the remaining time at leisure and prepare for the next morning’s temple darshan and pilgrimage rituals.

Day 04: Rameswaram Temple Darshan & Sightseeing

Early in the morning, proceed to Agni Theertham, the sacred seashore near Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple. Devotees may participate in the traditional holy bathing rituals according to temple customs.

Continue to Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple, where devotees may undertake the traditional bathing ritual at the sacred theerthams within the temple complex, subject to temple procedures, timings, and regulations.

After the rituals, seek blessings at Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and traditionally regarded as one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines. Also visit the shrine of Goddess Parvathavardhini Amman.

Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, proceed for local sightseeing.

Visit Ramar Padam (Gandhamadhana Parvatham), a sacred site traditionally associated with Lord Rama.

Continue to Kothandaramaswamy Temple, an important pilgrimage site associated with the Ramayana.

Later, explore the local market and spend the remaining time at leisure.

After sightseeing, return to the hotel.

Visit the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial, situated on a rocky island offshore. Ferry services are subject to weather conditions, operating hours, and local regulations.
