Introduction

INTRODUCTION

Amarnath is an amusing place in this world with snowy and hilly regions situated in the north India in Jammu and Kashmir. Tourists from all around the world visit these places to amuse at the beauty of nature. Many devotees come here to get the divine blessings from the holy Hindu temple.

These places at least requires a minimum of 3 or 4 days to experience the creation of nature. Not only the days are amusing but also the nights are equally good in these places, to get a complete detail look into Suveedha Yatri P. Ltd.. A complete tour and fun will be provided by them.

This Yatra is famous for the cave temple worshipping Lord Shiva, which can be reached by taking a heavenly route. The best months to visit is during summer, so May to September is preferred.

During these Yatra, people can also buy souvenirs for their beloved ones.

Srinagar serves as the gateway to the Amarnath Yatra, providing the starting point for the pilgrimage. The journey from Srinagar to Amarnath involves traveling through picturesque valleys and mountain roads.

Distance:

Srinagar is about 140 kilometers (87 miles) away from Pahalgam, the base camp for one of the main trekking routes to Amarnath, and approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Baltal, the other shorter and more direct route to the cave shrine.

Pilgrimage Routes:

Pahalgam Route: A longer but more traditional route, with stops at Chandanwari, Sheshnag, and Panchtarni, offering a slower ascent and more scenic trek.

Baltal Route: A shorter and steeper route, usually completed in a single day, preferred by those looking for a quicker journey to the cave.

Travel Experience:

From Srinagar to Amarnath: The journey typically starts with a drive from Srinagar to either Pahalgam or Baltal, followed by a trek or pony ride to the cave. Helicopter services are also available for a quicker ascent.

Climate and Best Time to Visit: The Amarnath Yatra is usually conducted between June and August when the weather is relatively mild, though conditions can still be unpredictable due to the high altitude.

Itinerary

ITINERARY

Day 1: SRINAGAR – SONMARG

On our first day of the tour we will reach Srinagar where we meet and greet each other. Our executives will help you from here and transfer you to Sonmarg.

We check in to our hotel / deluxe tent followed by welcome drinks and snacks. The day is free for you to relax and get settled here.

Thajewas Glacier: In the evening we go out to see Thajewas Glacier.

We then return to our hotel for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: SONMARG – HOLY CAVE – SRINAGAR

After having breakfast early in the morning, we will move from Sonmarg to Baltal.

Holy Cave Journey: From here we move for our onward journey to the holy caves via helicopter from Baltal helipad.

After the darshan of the deity we come back to Sonmarg.

Helicopter Timings: The official timings of operation of the helicopter are between 6 AM to 5 PM and it usually takes 2 to 4 hours for darshan.

On reaching Sonmarg after darshan, you will meet our executive, who will then transfer you from Baltal to Srinagar by road in our own vehicle.

On reaching Srinagar you will check in to your hotel / deluxe houseboat for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: SRINAGAR

We will visit the most famous places like Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh, and Shalimar Bagh followed by a Shikara ride on Dal Lake.

Shopping: In the evening we will go out for shopping and collect some souvenirs from the place.

We will then return to our hotel and stay here overnight.

Day 4: SRINAGAR

After breakfast you are free to explore the place on your own and relax for some time.

Departure: Then we transfer to Srinagar airport for your onward journey to next destination.
